For the username and password, simply copy what you have created in Plesk to your mail program (Outlook, Eudora, etc). Finally, make sure your incoming mail server is mail.yoursite.com where yoursite.com is your domain name. You have to use your ISP's SMTP for the outgoing mail server which varies depending on what ISP you use to connect to the internet.

We do not allow clients to use our server for outgoing mail for security and spamming protection. When you try to use mail.domain.com as your SMTP server, it will respond with an error. The fix is to use your ISP's SMTP server. Most ISPs use smtp.isp.dom as the outgoing server.

There are multiple reasons for a 501 error within your CGI bin. First make sure you are permissioned properly, normally 755 will work. Next add a - w after your perl location, this sometimes helps eliminating premature end of script header errors. You may also try to run your program in the httpdocs folder instead of the Cgi-bin. And as a last suggestion, reload your script in the proper ASCII mode. Sometimes improper loading or editing of the script will corrupt it and force you to start from scratch.
